You will manage developers working on the Settlement and Reporting Application running on the IBM Mainframe and a Middleware team working on Golden Gate Replication Software. You will be responsible and accountable for the design, development, and support of these applications. The team you manage will be responsible for delivering enhancements to existing capabilities and driving innovation with new capabilities. In addition, you will be responsible for encryption related tasks on the Debit Switching application, including owning and driving PCI DSS compliance activities.This position will have responsibility of day-to-day management of a team of up to 8 software developers and will work closely with resources across multiple teams including peer development groups, Product Development, PMO, and QA.  This position will report to the Sr. Director, Core Payment Processing Services Development based in Denver.   Essential Functions:Build and maintain a high performing team based in Denver by hiring and retaining the right talent in the right roleWork collaboratively with peer development groups and QA to ensure target delivery dates are metWork with Architects, Developers, Key Management team and other stakeholders to design and implement encryption controls for the Debit Switch across data in transit and at rest, including strong TLS configurations (TLS 1.2/1.3, mTLS), authenticated encryption modes, and secure key storageDevelop and empower direct reports to make appropriate technical decisionsActively manage resources to maximize productivity and optimize cost in alignment with forecast modelsPartner with Product resources to identify clear business requirementsManage development resources on the IBM Mainframe and GGS applications, by setting clear business and technical expectationsWork collaboratively with a cross functional team of management, architecture and senior development staff based in the US, Bangalore and Singapore to develop broadly acceptable solutions.Set resource goals and delegate project workCreate management reports and make recommendations with regard to problem Identification and resolutionTake complete responsibility of the full life cycle of projects assigned and oversee software release implementations when requiredTake complete responsibility for all PCI Compliance related activities including the PCI PIN and other internal and external auditsDemonstrate Visa’s core values and maintain a positive and open demeanorFoster a culture of teamwork, collaboration and mentoringIdentify process improvements and/or ineffective use of project hours and resourcesGenerate innovative ideas, solutions, and opportunities to contribute to the Visa,  DPS service’s and project’s successWork with the management team, Operations and support, on day-to-day activities to ensure service excellenceThis is a hybrid position.
