Responsibilities Highlands Behavioral Health System is an 86 bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in Littleton, CO. Highlands features individual units for adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. www.highlandsbhs.com The Patient Access Coordinator (PAC) is primarily responsible for answering and appropriately managing incoming telephone calls; scheduling patient assessments/appointments; creating and updating patient inquiry call entries within MS4 call system (including verification of benefits); setting expectations for patients regarding their services, reviewing transfer requests, and responding to customers' information needs. Additionally, the PAC is responsible for performing various administrative and clerical duties required to support these functions and, on an as-needed basis, may be required to perform other tasks. Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

At least two years working experience in a hospital or doctor's office assisting patients duting admissions process or patient appointments. Strong background in customer service. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or Related field preferred. Other combinations of experience and education may be considered.
