As a Sr Systems Security Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to design, test, and implement our secure operating systems, networks, security monitoring, and tuning. You'll be responsible for the management of our IT security systems and applications, incident response, digital forensics, loss prevention, and eDiscovery actions, conducting risk and vulnerability assessments, and developing and implementing security controls. Design and implement security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data.

Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address potential security risks.

Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Monitor network activity for unusual behavior and investigate potential security breaches.

Work with development teams to ensure security is integrated into the software development life cycle.

Provide security training and awareness to employees and other stakeholders.

Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and threats.

Must Haves:

Active DoD Secret security clearance

Bachelor's degree in Systems Security, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related Engineering discipline and typically 10 years of relevant experience

Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education

Strong knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, and authorization.

Experience with network security technologies, firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and SIEM tools.

Experience with anti-tamper techniques and implementation, including knowledge of hardware and software-based protections, encryption, obfuscation, authentication, access controls, and physical security measures.

Experience with the cybersecurity standards that define the protections for cryptographic keys on military systems, including FIPS 140-2, DoD PKI, NSA Suite B, and GPS Information Assurance. The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of these standards and be able to implement them in the design and development of systems. Experience with cryptographic key management, authentication, access control, and other security features is preferred.
