We are a dynamic carbon brake refurbishment operation. We also create and ship out new carbon for aviation braking systems. In this role, you will lean to run CNC Milling Centre machines and you will have the opportunity to be cross trained in Quality parts inspections. Learn all necessary machining operations, understand product flow Learn the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Learn to effectively read blueprints including geometrical dimension and tolerance (GD&T)
Perform set-up and operate equipment including but not limited to: CNC mills/lathes, Engraver, Scale, Computer, Hardware Press, Drill Press, Bead Blaster and Bake-Out furnace
Operate required gauging to perform and/or inspect work
Learn the use of the Refurbishment MES system
Become qualified to perform first piece inspections within 6 months of hire/transfer into the department
Obtain a Big Joe License within three months of hire/transfer into the department
Obtain a Forklift License within three months of hire/transfer into the department
Participate to problem solve and exercise creativity to develop and/or implement practical solutions
Perform other duties as required
Basic Qualifications:
HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, and typically 2 years of relevant experience is required
U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required
