Responsibilities/Duties:

The Payroll Tech is responsible for processing a complex, weekly payroll for approximately 100 employees, maintaining the accuracy and scheduling of payroll in the payroll software in compliance with all state and federal regulations.

Accurately process and manage weekly payroll for all employees using QuickBooks and T-Sheets.

Ensure timely submission of payroll data to meet weekly payroll deadlines.

Review and verify employee timecards for accuracy.

Contact employees for daily time corrections and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Handle the onboarding process for new employees, including setting up payroll accounts and ensuring all required documentation is completed.

Provide new hires with information regarding payroll procedures and benefits.

Process payroll adjustments such as bonuses, deductions, and overtime.

Ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and net pay.

Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from employees.

Communicate effectively with field employees, particularly in Spanish, to address payroll concerns and provide support.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.

Maintain the confidentiality of employee payroll information and protect sensitive data.

Drive and maintain a positive company culture

Requirements:

Bilingual in English and Spanish (essential, as most field employees speak Spanish).

Proficiency in QuickBooks and T-Sheets.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Previous Human Resources or Payroll experience preferred.

Experience with Quickbooks and T-Sheets preferred.
