Job Title: Concrete Foreman
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Concrete Foreman to lead a construction crew of 10 people. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read blueprints, interpret plans, and build structures such as box culverts from scratch. This role requires hands-on experience in concrete finishing and site development.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a crew of 10 people: Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure team safety and productivity.
Read and interpret blueprints and plans: Accurately understand project specifications and ensure compliance with design requirements.
Build structures according to provided plans: Execute construction tasks, including formwork, rebar placement, and concrete pouring.
Construct box culverts from scratch: Assemble all necessary forms, place reinforcement, and oversee the concrete pour and finishing.
Oversee concrete pours and finishing: Ensure proper mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques to achieve desired quality and durability.
Ensure all installations and field management tasks are performed efficiently: Coordinate with other trades, manage materials, and maintain project timelines.
Manage general labor and site development tasks: Supervise site preparation, excavation, grading, and other related activities.
Essential Skills:
1-5 years of experience as a Concrete Foreman: Proven track record in managing concrete construction projects.
1 year of experience: $28 per hour.
5+ years of commercial experience: $40 per hour.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints: Ability to understand and execute complex construction plans.
Experience in construction, concrete finishing, and site development: Hands-on expertise in all aspects of concrete work.
Strong leadership and field management skills: Ability to lead a team, make decisions, and solve problems on-site.
Ability to use hand tools and manage general labor tasks: Skilled in using various construction tools and equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in industrial and commercial construction: Familiarity with large-scale projects and industry standards.
Knowledge of installation and general labor procedures: Understanding of best practices and safety protocols.
