The Center Toward Self-Reliance is hiring an Employment Services Specialist!
This position is for 3/4 time with an hourly starting wage of $17.50 - $19 (depending on experience). There is the potential for this position to become full-time as your caseload increases.
As the Employment Services Specialist, you will:
provide individuals with disabilities person-centered career planning services (including coordinating vocational services with community agencies and providing direct services when a gap in those services exist).
Career planning services include resume building, application assistance, job development / placement activities, continuing on-the-job-supports, career exploration activities, and career vocational assessments.
Assess and identify the types of assistive technology and additional support that may be needed for successful placement and retention in the work force
Interact regularly with business proprietors to create and expand upon a pool of potential employment opportunities available for consideration by consumers.
Qualifications:
must have at-minimum an Associate's of Science/Arts from an accredited community college or the equivalent experience in the employment field. Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
hands-on experience in similar fields may be considered in lieu of education
