La Tour Restaurant in Vail, Colorado is seeking a in-house bookkeeper.

This person should be able to meet with owners at least one day a week at La Tour Restaurant.

The candidate should have 2-3 years bookkeeping experience in the hospitality industry.

Knowledge of Aloha POS system is extremely beneficial, but easy to learn.

TASKS AND COMPETENCIES:

1. Keep all financial data current with online QuickBooks.

2. Record all sales and disbursements.

3. Input all invoices & credits, manage accounts payables, receivables and prepare checks dictated by cash flow.

4. Monthly reconciliation of Checking, Savings, Credit Cards, House Accounts, Gift Certificates & Petty Cash accounts.

5. Prepare Payroll: Bi-Weekly payroll preparation, tying out hours, salaries and tips due to employees. Prepare, pay and transmit payroll tax reporting and yearly W-2’s.

6. Prepare and report sales taxes, state, town and county.

7. Pay Bills.

8. Reconcile credit card receipts, maintain merchant card information.

9. Reconcile La Tour Business Credit Card receipts.

10. Maintain personnel records; enter information into Aloha and QuickBooks.

11. File and maintain payables files and renew annually at beginning of fiscal year.

12. Transmit checkbook summary, daily sales summary, bank statements, credit card statements, and payroll to accountants for preparation of monthly financial statements by the 7th of each month.

13. Record monthly accruals, payroll, insurance & inventory.

14. Prepare workers comp audit.

15. Record budget in QuickBooks with help from Owners/General Manager.

16. Respond to credit card charge backs.

17. Respond to State Unemployment claims and Social Security inquiries.

18. Go to Post Office to mail checks.
