Join our team at The Timberline as a Part-Time Laundry Attendant and play a crucial role in ensuring a clean and comfortable stay for our guests. As a member of our dedicated housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of linens, towels, and other laundry items essential to our guests' comfort.
The position is 4 days a week, 20-30 hours weekly (actual days and hours may vary from week to week). Additional hours and flexible times can be discussed with the property manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Laundry Operations: Operate commercial washing machines, dryers, and folding equipment to clean and process linens, towels, bedding, and other hotel laundry items efficiently.
Sorting and Preparation: Sort laundry items by type, color, and fabric, ensuring proper care and handling to maintain the quality of the linens.
Stain Removal: Identify and treat stains on laundry items to ensure they meet high cleanliness and presentation standards.
Inventory Management: Maintain an organized inventory of linens, keeping track of stock levels and notifying management when additional supplies are needed.
Quality Assurance: Inspect laundered items for quality, ensuring they meet our standards for cleanliness and presentation.
Folding and Packaging: Fold and package laundered items neatly and professionally to facilitate easy distribution to housekeeping and other hotel departments.
Maintenance and Cleaning: Keep laundry equipment and work areas clean, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
Teamwork: Collaborate with the housekeeping team to ensure a seamless flow of clean linens and towels to guest rooms.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in laundry operations or housekeeping is preferred but not required.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Strong organizational skills.
Reliable and punctual.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
