Store Clerk Responsibilities
Primary challenge in this position is to provide prompt, courteous customer service, accurate money handling, keeping adequate inventory levels, stock and clean shelves. Liquor store clerks are also responsible for:
Stocking, rotating, and facing products, building displays, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Registering set up and closing out
Helping customers find products
Receiving payment and making change
Verifying credit card transactions
Wrapping or bagging merchandise for customers
Tracking, counting, and monitoring inventory
Maintaining a neat and clean store appearance
Dusting bottles and shelves regularly
Sweeping and/or vacuuming floors
Cleaning windows as directed
Stocks shelves and cooler racks at all levels
Brings replacement stocks from storage as directed
Keeps shelves arranged in an orderly and attractive manner
Attend alcohol awareness and other job-related training as required
Opening and closing the liquor store
