Position Overview:

The System Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance and troubleshooting of the Beaver Run data and voice systems and networks. The System Administrator seeks to ensure that the uptime, performance and security of the systems they manage not only meet all regulatory compliance but also the needs of the business and users without exceeding budgets.

Responsibilities to include:

Plans and implements additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting infrastructure.

Responsible for the implementation maintenance of network security.

Monitors, analyzes and evaluates performance. Identifies degradation trends and problem areas.

Performs routine data maintenance and archiving.

Anticipates future network needs, identifies and implements solutions to satisfy needs.

-Administration of the physical and virtual server environments.

-Understanding of VMWare systems and tools

-Working knowledge of Microsoft environments including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Remote Desktop Services;

-Administration of network switches and hubs.

-Administration of network routers and firewalls.

-Provide technical support for both hardware and software to all end users

-Manage the configuration and operation of all PC operating systems (Windows 7, 8, 10)

-Perform monthly maintenance and patching of all Microsoft servers (2008, 2012, 2016)

-Ensure all hourly and daily backups have completed successfully. Ensure integrity of all onsite and offsite backups.

-Ensure all technical procedures have been documented properly. Develop internal SOPs, processes and training

-Automate infrastructure services and system administration tasks whenever possible

Manages the development, implementation, installation, and operation of information and software systems.

Provides support to end users in the selection, procurement, usage, and maintenance of software programs.

Manages software licenses.

Manages computer operation scheduling, backup, storage, and retrieval functions.

Develops, maintains, and tests disaster recovery plans.

Planning and management of the companys telephone system.

Telecommunication troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance.

Voice and video conferencing planning and setup

Essential Qualifications:

Requirements

-Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role

-Four (4) years of hands-on technical experience supporting LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet and intranet systems.

-BS / BA in Information Technology or related discipline

-Professional Certifications a plus
