Inside Sales and Customer Service Specialist – Highland Trading Company (HTC)

Highland Trading Company is a manufacturer and worldwide distributor of Sportube and Wildsyde products. Based in the Vail Valley, Colorado, we are the World’s # 1 supplier of hard-sided ski, snowboard and fishing cases as well as the creator and distributor of Wildsyde electric bicycles – Vintage eCruisers, We currently have an opportunity for a dynamic, energetic, independent, and highly motivated Inside Sales Professional. The Inside Sales and Customer Service Specialist will be an integral part of our small, dedicated team as we continue to grow the company. With new products in the pipeline and new markets emerging, the successful candidate will wear many hats and be involved in all aspects of this fast-paced, exciting, outdoor-sports-oriented business.

Primary responsibilities include managing existing dealers and distributors, prospecting for new customers, markets and opportunities for growth, traveling to and attending Consumer and Trade shows, including the annual Snowsports, national bike shows and events like Farmers’ Markets and local promotional activities, supporting retailers, distributors and customers through phone and email, assisting with product assembly, order fulfilment, shipping and logistics, managing website and social media inquiries and comments, and collaborating closely with the company owner and other team members in the home-based office on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• College degree with emphasis on business, sales and/or marketing preferred

• Prior sales experience, ideally at both consumer and wholesale level with proven success in cold calling and telephone sales

• Previous Trade Show experience preferred

• Knowledge of the winter sports, fishing, and biking industries

• Comfort working in an open office environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Quickbooks

• Basic skills using Constant Contact marketing software, social media marketing and website creation and maintenance.

• Focus on providing exceptional customer service and support

• Must be able to work independently, without supervision but also be a team player and willing to assist with a wide variety of miscellaneous tasks, including but not limited to, logistics, data entry, product assembly, etc.
