The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa is seeking an experienced Fitness Club Manager to join their amazing Athletic Club team! The Fitness Manager is responsible for hiring and managing the front desk staff, checking in & greeting all members and guests, booking and paying for classes, personal training sessions, managing the front desk schedule, assisting with any fitness programming schedule challenges, monitoring the pool deck, hiring and managing pool attendants, and maintaining cleanliness and order in the fitness & pool facility.
This position serves as primary contact for Membership contracts, membership sales & retention initiatives, and collection of membership dues. Works to achieve service and sales goals. Help Spa and Club Management Team and staff with any projects and protocols. Fitness Club Manager will create an exceptional customer service environment during high occupancy guest usage, and when pool facility usage is at peak volume.

Schedule: varies, 5 days a week, includes some weekends and holidays. Requires flexible schedule.

Minimum Requirements
A Bachelors degree is beneficial along with front line experience in spa/fitness or hotel operations. Specific education in fitness is preferred but not required; Strong familiarity with club and fitness operations is preferred. Experience in the hospitality industry or customer service industry required. Understanding of good health requirements, in terms of exercises, fitness, nutrition, and stress reduction.
Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs. and stand for extended hours. Must be able to understand fitness classes by participating or observing. Physically be able to move equipment for organizational purposes, and bring in pool lanes. Must be able to clean snow off pool furniture in the winter season.
Demonstrated guest service skills required; previous fitness club experience preferred.
High school graduate, experience working in a resort environment, or fitness facility.
