Job Description:
We are a small local electrical contracting company seeking an entry-level Apprentice Electrician to join our team! As an Apprentice Electrician, you will play a crucial role in aiding and gaining the skills to ensure the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in a variety of residential and commercial settings. Based in Alma, we work in Summit, Park, and Chaffee counties and specialize in new construction, remodels, installations, and service. Key Responsibilities:
-Work alongside the Master Electrician to assist and gain the skills to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in compliance with local and national electrical codes including but not limited to running wire, fixture installation, and problem-solving.
-Collaborate with other team members, including clients and contractors, to complete projects within established deadlines.
-Ensure that all work is performed safely, following best practices for electrical safety and utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment.
-Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
-Learn to read blueprints and technical diagrams to understand electrical layouts.
-Participate in construction site activities, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
-Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project.
-Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in electrical technology and participate in training sessions.
-Present the company in a professional light.
-Comprehend and adhere to all company standards, policies, and procedures.
-Comprehend and follow both written and spoken instructions.
-Carry out related tasks as delegated.
-Pursue further educational opportunities as required.
-Adhere to all company safety regulations and requirements.
-Keep tools, equipment, and workspace orderly and well-maintained.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or GED equivalent
-Previous experience or coursework related to electrical work is a plus but not required.
-Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools commonly used in electrical work.
-A willingness to learn about high voltage systems, NEC regulations, and best practices in electrical safety.
-Fundamental math and reading skills
-Successful completion of background check
-Physical fitness to perform tasks requiring lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions and high alpine environments.
-Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
-Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
-Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
-Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
