Are you looking for an adventurous job in a stunning mountain setting? Get into the driver's seat of cutting-edge machines as an Equipment Operator with the Cordillera Metro District (CMD), a 7,000-acre private community near Vail, Colorado. The Equipment Operator's role is more than simply a job—it's an opportunity to improve and protect the lives of our families, neighbors, and friends.
CMD's powerful and beautifully maintained fleet is responsible for snow removal in the winter, trail building in the summer, and for keeping our community safe all year long. As an Equipment Operator, you'll be a part of CMD's dynamic Public Works: Roads and Open Space Department team. We're a versatile crew that can do anything from plow snow and power sweep streets to tackle major road repairs and make structural enhancements that benefit our community's future.
In this role, you'll skillfully handle a variety of small and heavy equipment in addition to manual and power tools. During the summer season, you'll put your expertise to use out on Cordillera's trails and carefully managed open space. But when the snow starts to fly, your role as a plow operator is vital to the safety of those who travel our roads in all kinds of weather, at all times of the day and night.
Besides operating equipment and having the ability to take on new challenges in the workplace, you'll be part of an energetic, hard-working team. We're problem-solvers and have a can-do mindset when it comes to mastering new skills. We love variety and the opportunity to make each day an adventure as we support new projects, seasonal initiatives, and community events.
If you're looking for a place where you can expand your skillset while being truly appreciated for what you already bring to the table, you'll find it here. Get ready to lace up your work boots and take a step toward a rewarding career at Cordillera Metro District. Apply today to take on a meaningful role that has a positive impact on all who live and work in the Cordillera Metro District.
