Experienced Irrigation Tech- starts at $28/hour DOE
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining irrigation systems to maximize the health of our client’s turf/native grass areas at residential and commercial properties
- Able to set valve boxes, run trenchers, dig up repairs, build manifolds and have an understanding of flow rates
- Perform irrigation system turn on’s in the spring and irrigation blowouts in the fall-
- Install irrigation systems
- Perform monthly irrigation system checks
- Comply with state, county, city and metro district water rules and regulations
- Maintain, track, and organize parts and supplies
- Document work completed to be submitted to management for billing
- Monitor work vehicles for proper, safe operation and general maintenance
- Maintain small-engine machinery for continued proper operation and report mechanical issues immediately
- Be able to operate small machinery such as trenchers
- Assist other crews as needed with general landscape labor tasks
Qualifications:
- At least 1-3 years of previous irrigation experience required
- Able to perform new installations of irrigation systems
- Ability to troubleshoot existing systems for repairs and enhancements
- Have experience and knowledge with: irrigation wiring, controller, heads, nozzles, drip systems and an understanding of Backflow Preventers
- Driver’s license
- Understanding and compliance of health & safety practices
- Willingness to gain knowledge of basic landscape specifications
- Ability to complete all tasks to an agreed standard/quality
- Physically able to carry-out the role
- Able to carry 30 lbs
- Hard working, quick on your feet, able to problem solve, committed and able to work as part of a team
- Professional attitude with co-workers and clients, and strong customer service and communication skills required
