The Ski Patrol Supervisor provides leadership in maintaining a safe, well-organized, and welcoming mountain environment for both guests and employees. This role oversees daily patrol operations, ensuring effective coordination with department leaders and supervisors to support safety, medical response, and mountain readiness. With a focus on operational excellence and guest engagement, the Ski Patrol Supervisor fosters a culture of professionalism and service on the mountain. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience, all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.Essential Job FunctionsDirect daily mountain operations in partnership with department leaders, ensuring seamless coordination, accurate documentation, and a strong guest service focusLead patrol staff by setting expectations, monitoring performance, delivering feedback, and assisting with hiring, scheduling, timekeeping, discipline, and performance reviewsManage patrol stations, overseeing daily operations, equipment readiness, and terrain openingsActively engage with guests to provide assistance and enhance the on-mountain experienceEnsure thorough execution of lift operations and evacuation procedures; oversee patrol participation in evacuations under the guidance of Lift Evacuation Technicians or CoordinatorsMonitor and evaluate mountain conditions, trail status, communication systems, guest flow, and hazard mitigation strategiesDirect avalanche control, snow safety efforts, and guest transport as operational needs requireSupport training and professional development for patrollers, maintaining accurate records in collaboration with supervisors and training staffCommunicate operational updates, trail maintenance, and directives from the Patrol Director to patrol staffImplement the Incident Command System (ICS) when required to lead emergency response and coordinate resources effectivelyWork a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as required to support mountain operationsOther duties as assigned
