Position Summary 
The Steward is responsible for cleaning and storing all flatware, silver, glass, kitchen trays, pots, pans according to the direction of the restaurant management team. The Steward also assists in food preparation as requested. This position reports to the Chef De Cuisine.Job Posting Deadline

    Scrape, stack, and clean all dishes properly 
    Store dishes and silver in the designated locations 
    Set up cleaning area: put dish machine together properly, fil all water tanks, turn on heating elements to dish machine 
    Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, participate in pre and post shift cleaning and organization to include but not limited to: kitchen equipment, walk in fridge/freezer storage, dry storage, trash, recycle, mopping, sweeping 
    Assist with storage of food deliveries 
    Clean kitchen walls, floors, loading docks, and other associated areas at the proper time 
    Disassemble, clean and re-assemble dishwasher prior to end of shift 
    Post appropriate caution signs when the floor is wet or being mopped to ensure highest level of safety 
    Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean orderly condition 
    Assist with preparing food items according to chef specifications 
    Follow daily preparation list to ensure items are ready for service 
    Report any problems with food product, kitchen equipment or work area to a Chef/Sous chef 
    Other duties as assigned.
