We are looking for a Project Coordinator for the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) of the Health Information Office (HIO)!

The EPMO in HIO is responsible for the management of projects for the Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) and ensuring that project management standards and methodology are followed in line with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). The work unit is responsible for managing projects related to implementing and enhancing the MES. The EPMO project coordinator ensures processes are followed that are necessary for successful project design, development, and implementation. The processes include activities such as developing effective and consistent requirements, detailed system design, identifying and resolving project risks and issues, and cost, schedule, and documentation management. The unit forms partnerships with policy staff, programmers, testing staff, as well as business and operations analysts to ensure that HIO meets internal and external (i.e., Fiscal Agent, CMS) project deadlines, creates project work plans to track activities, tasks, risks, issues, accomplishments, and schedules. The work unit also oversees and coordinates projects related to Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS), Colorado Benefits Management System (CBMS), Program Eligibility Application Kit (PEAK), Shared Eligibility System (SES), and Health Information Technology (Health IT) initiatives at the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (the Department). The work unit coordinates Heath IT initiatives with other State agencies, including coordination with the Governor's Office, the Office of eHealth Innovation, the Office of Information Technology (OIT), the Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), and the Department of Human Services (CDHS) to maintain a cohesive strategic approach among these agencies. Finally, the work unit is responsible for strategic planning to achieve required compliance with federal regulations (I.e., HIPAA), Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA), Medicaid Enterprise Certification Life Cycle (MECL), and Advanced Planning Documents (APDs).

This position can work fully remotely from anywhere in the State of Colorado.

Description of JobWHAT YOU'LL BE DOING AS PROJECT COORDINATOR:

Support the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) by updating and maintaining financial information associated with Advanced Planning Documents (APDs) on a variety of initiatives and strategies, as defined by the Division and/or Department.

Coordinate projects by utilizing the PMBOK methodology and Department EPMO standards to ensure that program, systems and/or operations are supported appropriately.

Provide high-level support to the EPMO, Unit Supervisor, EPMO Manager and EPMO Office Director with financial management for the Advance Planning Documents (APD) managed by HIO.

Facilitate project meetings, develops and maintains project schedules, project plans and relevant artifacts, develops and coordinates action items and issues lists, conducts project data collection, performs research to support Project Managers, activities, and resources, and keeps Unit Supervisor and EPMO Manager informed of the progress of projects.

Oversee APD financial information to maintain regulatory compliance, with responsibility for achieving the deliverables of the projects to which they have been assigned and/or for ensuring effective support is provided to other projects within the Office.

Works on projects under guidance of the assigned Project Manager to support the project team in all facets of assigned projects to define, plan, document, manage, and monitor the project scope of work, schedule, procurements, budget, requirements, operations, risks, issues, quality, decisions, communication needs, and resource needs through the full project management lifecycle.

Collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often participating in the management and controlling of several projects simultaneously.

Skills to Support Success
