Join us and we can make a difference together.About This RoleThe BAS Controls Engineer for the ALC West region coordinates with Mechanical/Electrical engineers as well as Architects and project customers to provide a complete and user-friendly Automated Logic DDC system. The controls engineer shall also have to be able to visit jobsites, attend design meetings (on-site & virtual) and do job walks with our salesperson(s), project managers and/or field engineers as needed to give expertise guidance on potential or current projects.Key Responsibilities:

Design and program building automation systems, site-specific configuration of control system, and control algorithms

Adhere to project requirements and company and customer standards of design, programming, and implementation.

Create a clear design document for project teams with technical information.

Document and communicate the building automation system design and revisions.

Develop graphical and text-based interfaces for building automation systems.

Test programming and interfaces prior to implantation.

Provide technical support to sales representatives to ensure customers’ needs are met.

Identify and communicate project opportunities and risks.

Support of functional testing for building systems.

Required Qualifications:

Associate Degree with 10+ years of HVAC Controls industry experience OR High School Diploma with 12+ years of HVAC Controls industry experience.

10+ years of experience handling Web Control programming

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of primary functions of building automation system software and associated engineering tools, Automated Logic suites preferred

Working knowledge of Automated Logic software, hardware, peripherals, add-ons, and services

Experience with third-party communication protocols used in building automation, such as BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, N2, etc

Experience with Enterprise IP networks and Microsoft Visio, or similar software.

Ability to understand written sequences of operations, diagrammatic depictions of systems.

Able to translate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade, and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs
