Caregiver(s) needed for 86 y/o local woman located across from Oxbow Park. She is a lively woman who enjoys outings for music, meals, drinks, etc. She enjoys lunch at the senior center, going to the Rec center to swim once a week, and to the casino once every 3 weeks. Otherwise she likes to hang at home and watch Murder She Wrote (we’ll love you if you can get her interested in other shows). She also loves playing Chess. She’s lived in Durango all of her life, and has many interesting stories.
Hours are flexible with the potential for full or part-time depending if we hire one or two people. We prefer an early morning riser who is available for morning shifts as Crystal enjoys having someone to talk to over coffee and breakfast, usually around 8am. Some Saturdays required.
Must be comfortable with preparing meals, running errands/shopping, planning outings, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and providing general companionship.
Previous caregiving experience is required; experience with dementia is a plus.
Potential live-in option down the road a bit if it’s a good fit.
