This job is suitable for an individual or a couple. Ridgewood Event Center seeks a part time, possibly semi retired jack of all trades. There can be full time employment from April until November and part time employment the other months. Must have reliable transportation.
Successful applicant should have most of these skills: mowing, weed whacking, pruning, irrigation, small tractor work, basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, general building maintenance, interior and exterior, janitorial and housekeeping.
This job could be split between a couple. If applicant has a desire to cultivate some of the property for themselves, that is also an option as there is water, fertile land and farming equipment available.
During the event season, May to October, applicant may assist with equipment set up for events, kitchen duties such as dishwashing, and event center clean up. The property manager is a vital member of the Ridgewood team and will work with the Facility Coordinator. We will be hiring additional staff in the summer season, and we can hire out jobs the applicant doesn't perform.
Housing is available and optional for this management position and is 5 miles up the road in a two bedroom well cared for mobile home with small yard and workshop, and can be part of the compensation package. No pets or smoking is allowed in the home.
Compensation is based on skill set and whether the housing is chosen. The summer event work will receive tips from renters and bonus pay based on performance. We will be hiring additional staff in the summer season, and we can hire out jobs the applicant doesn't perform. This is a rewarding indoor/outdoor job in a beautiful setting.
