We are looking for a Horticulture Supervisor to grow peaches, wine grapes and other fruits on about 500 irrigated acres in Palisade Colorado. (Talbottfarms.com)
Ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion and aptitude for fruit growing, Spanish fluency, leadership and interpersonal skills, and a strong results oriented work ethic. Agricultural background and experience is preferred.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to;
Inspect crops, fields, or plant stock to determine conditions and need for cultivating, spraying, weeding, or harvesting.
Assign duties, such as cultivation, irrigation, or harvesting of crops or plants, or equipment maintenance.
Plan or supervise infrastructure or collection maintenance functions, such as planting, fertilizing, and pest or weed control.
Perform hardscape activities, including installation or repair of irrigation systems
Maintain time and details of employees work and locations.
Perform the same horticultural or agricultural duties as subordinates.
Compensation negotiable based on experience and skill level. Housing might be available or included in compensation.
