We’re a locally owned self-storage facility in Durango, CO, committed to providing our tenants with a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment. We’re seeking a Part-Time Property Maintenance Assistant to support our team with general upkeep, landscaping, and physical tasks around the property. This is an as-needed role with flexible hours—perfect for someone looking to pick up part-time, on-call work.
Schedule:
Flexible, 3–5 hours per week on average, with 20 hours/week expected during the first month and occasional additional hours as needed
Responsibilities:
- Maintain clean and tidy hallways, unit doors, bathrooms, and windows
- Perform basic landscaping: mow, trim, pull weeds, remove sticks/debris
- Keep drives and outdoor areas free of dust, rocks, garbage, and clutter
- Conduct minor repairs and upkeep projects
- Clean out vacated units and dispose of unwanted items (including hauling to landfill)
- Ensure on-site tools and equipment remain in good condition
- Collaborate with the on-site manager and off-site team on facility improvements
Qualifications:
- Comfortable with manual labor and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Basic smartphone/internet skills for communication and coordination
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
- Maintenance or self-storage experience is a plus, but not required
