Western Colorado Highland Cattle ranch looking to fill full time, long term ranch hand Barn help position in beautiful Collbran Colorado. Very competitive pay based on experience with room for growth. Salary plus bonuses . Paid vacation after first year.
Duties include basic ranch/Barn jobs,
Spring/Summer/Fall duties ( our busy time)
Irrigating (side roll sprinklers primarily with a little flood irrigating)
Farming
Haying
Cattle work
Fence fixing
Cleaning pens and stalls
Feeding and watering cattle and calves
General ranch duties
Winter (Slowtime)
Feed cattle
Clean barn and stalls Winter time ranch projects and general repair and maintenance
We haul 400+ tons of hay a year and have a ranch in Carbondale as well .
Job is Tuesday-Saturday , 7:30am -5:00 pm most days . Hours are somewhat flexible. Starting later and working later is an option too .
This in no way a cowboy job . We use horses and dogs very very rarely . All cattle work is done slow and easy as the cattle are extremely gentle for the most part . It’s a great opportunity for the right person though.
Experience with cattle or irrigating is not needed but experience with animals in general is welcomed. Self starter is a plus. Honest and responsible. Must have a drivers license, this is non negotiable . References required and a background check will be needed. Please contact us for more information .
