Durango Fitness Club is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a front desk representative. As the first point of contact for our gym, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our members have a positive experience and receive excellent customer service. You will be responsible for managing the front desk operations, assisting members with inquiries, and providing general support to the gym staff.

Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome members and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor.

Provide exceptional customer service by addressing members' inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and efficient manner.

Assist with membership registration, renewal, and cancellation processes.

Handle cash transactions, process payments, and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.

Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, including keeping track of membership forms, brochures, and other gym-related materials.

Answer phone calls and respond to emails, providing accurate information about gym services, programs, and schedules.

Schedule appointments for personal trainers, group classes, and other gym activities.

Coordinate and oversee the gym's class registration process, ensuring accurate attendance records and managing class capacity.

Ensure that gym equipment and facilities are properly maintained and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate staff members.

Assist in promoting gym memberships, special events, and promotional offers to potential and existing members.

Uphold safety and security standards by monitoring access to the gym and reporting any suspicious activities or incidents to management.

Collaborate with other gym staff members to ensure a seamless and positive member experience.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous customer service experience, preferably in a fitness or hospitality setting.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with members and staff.

Proficient computer skills and experience with fitness management software is a plus.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.

Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain financial records.

Knowledge of basic fitness principles and gym operations is desirable.

A friendly and approachable attitude with a passion for health and wellness.
