Hometown Tech is a growing tech company that provides friendly, patient, mobile tech help to our friends and neighbors in the Roaring Fork valley. People call us because they need help with their tech/devices. They call us again because we are good listeners, we don't talk down to them, we solve their problems and we put them at ease with kindness and humor. We do not fix or repair computers/devices, we educate, help and problem solve.
We are looking to add a tech consultant to our team. You will be responsible for helping people up and down the Roaring Fork Valley either in their own homes or at a public location i.e the library, coffee shop. The right person for this position is:
highly tech savvy
a people person with excellent people skills
like to have fun and laugh which puts our clients at ease
asks questions and really listens to what our clients want
can troubleshoot on the fly/research issues to find a solution
can translate tech talk into easy to understand terms
has a high level of honesty and integrity
treats all our clients like family and friends
provides excellent customer service
has reliable transportation
speaks fluent English

Pay starts at $35 an hour.
This position is not for people who do not have good people skills and are not comfortable taking the lead with clients looking to us for help. It is not for people who don’t have tech skills and don’t know how to problem solve and troubleshoot on the fly. It is not for people who are flaky, show up late, and need a lot of direction or supervision. If you are not committed to helping people and providing outstanding customer service you are not right for this position. We will check references and do a background check.
