Key Responsibilities
Provide professional interior and exterior painting services for residential, commercial, and renovation projects.
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming as needed to ensure optimal results.
Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, sprayers, or other appropriate tools.
Ensure all work meets industry standards, client specifications, and Solveson Builders’ quality guidelines.
Manage job site safety, including proper handling and disposal of materials.
Coordinate with project managers and other subcontractors to meet timelines and budgets.
Perform touch-ups and final inspections to guarantee client satisfaction.
Requirements and Qualifications
Proven experience as a painting subcontractor with a portfolio of completed projects (references required).
Must possess valid and current liability insurance, workers’ compensation insurance (if applicable), and any other required coverage to protect against job-related risks. Proof of insurance will be required upon selection.
Skilled in various painting techniques, including specialty finishes (e.g., faux, textured).
Own tools, equipment, and transportation for job sites.
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Knowledge of safety protocols, building codes, and environmental regulations related to painting materials.
Preferred: Certifications in painting or related trades (e.g., from NACE or similar organizations).
Ability to provide competitive bids and adhere to contract terms.
Compensation
Pay is based on contract and will be determined per project through a bidding process. Rates are competitive and commensurate with experience, project scope, and quality of work. Payment terms will be outlined in the subcontract agreement, typically days upon satisfactory completion and invoice submission.
