Job Description:
Rocky Mountain Meats is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Production Technician – Patty Machine Operator to join our team in our USDA-inspected beef processing facility in Cortez, Colorado. This position is responsible for operating the patty forming machine and assisting in other meat production duties as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate patty forming machine to produce high-quality beef patties
Monitor equipment to ensure consistent product quality and safe operation
Weigh, label, and package finished products
Maintain clean and sanitary workstations according to USDA food safety standards
Assist with other meat processing tasks including grinding, portioning, and boxing
Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a meat processing environment preferred, but not required
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Must be reliable and punctual
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) helpful
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.41 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
