The Plant Electro Maintenance Mechanic troubleshoots, installs, maintains, and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numerical controls, power supplies, drives, motors, gear boxes, bearings, gauges and test equipment.The Plant Electro Maintenance Mechanic will:Work from complex blue prints, wiring diagrams, shop and vendor manuals, layouts, and other specifications.Calibrate equipment, check furnaces operating condition, monitor glass levels and inspects samples for defects.Make minor adjustments and repairs and perform preventive maintenance functions as directed.The Plant Electro Maintenance Mechanic should have:Ability to work in a safe manner and in a team environment.Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to read electrical/electronic diagrams/drawings, and an understanding of computers and related equipment is required.Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines, in close quarters and hot areas performing analysis and repair work.
