Job Summary: In this role, the Customer Technical Support Manager will be responsible for managing a team that develops engine maintenance data and standard practices to meet program level requirements for engine certification, engine entry into service, and aftermarket sustainment activities for all Pratt & Whitney commercial engine programs. The team has the responsibility to develop and maintain procedures for cleaning, non-destructive inspection, and various standard practices that are used throughout the worldwide network of P&W Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) shops, partners, and airline customers. The team has the responsibility for sustaining a master list of consumable materials required for engine maintenance. In addition, the critical focus of the team is customer support of the MRO network, partners, and airlines to provide support of field issues and inquiries that require technical resolution to meet customer needs.Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for all aspects of people management including staffing, staff development, training, tool and process development, task assignments, and administration of performance appraisals.

Develop, review, and provide feedback on detailed documentation from the team that describes technology reasons, roadmaps, requirements, and the relationship between people, process, and the technical components.

Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

Manage and control budgetary requirements for functional areas.

Provide ongoing status to program office on development timelines and schedule.

Interface with the customer as it pertains to engine level maintenance data requirements.

Travel to customers, aircraft manufacturer, suppliers, and MRO shops required approximately 5% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) in STEM (chemical engineering, materials science, metallurgy, or related engineering/technical disciplines).

10+ years of Engineering experience, or 7+ years with an advanced degree.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Experience leading teams in technical environments (Engineering/STEM)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in engine aftermarket support services.

Able to think logically and analytically in a problem-solving environment to assess and process business needs quickly.

Exceptional customer service experience and ability to communicate effectively with P&W customers, suppliers, and partners.

Demonstrated adaptability to manage multiple priorities in parallel and manage conflicting tasks.

Possess knowledge and understanding of technical data requirements as it pertains to FAA regulatory requirements and industry specifications​.

Understanding of engine program life cycles and the effect on future engineering workload.

Extremely strong project management skills

Able to work well in a team environment.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
