We are seeking an Avionics Hardware Architect with expertise in DO-254 and airborne electronic hardware development to lead the architecture, design, and certification of safety-critical avionics systems.The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and architecting complete avionics hardware solutions from requirements through certification while working closely with systems and software engineering teams.Location: The role can be onsite (CT), hybrid, or fully remote. ResponsibilitiesArchitect end-to-end avionics hardware systems from concept through certification and production.Collaborate across systems, hardware, software, verification, and certification teams.Lead airborne electronic hardware development activities in compliance with DO-254.Support certification audits and regulatory compliance activities.Able to assess and advise on the application of COTS in alignment with AC 20-152AAble to define interfacing between Hardware and FPGA.Able to define interfacing between Software and FPGA.Interpret PCB/CBA design considerations and constraints.Support definition and allocation of system-level and software requirements.Design and implement solutions for  FPGA, ASIC, board-level, and embedded hardware efforts.Conduct architecture reviews, technical assessments, and trade studies.Drive requirements traceability, verification planning, and validation activities.Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership.
