Under the supervision of a Nurse Leader, the Patient Care Tech is responsible for performing specific duties that support patient care, which includes direct and indirect patient care activities that are essential to providing a safe and efficient care environment. This position performs selected interventions and activities that contribute to providing comprehensive care to patients in accordance with all existing regulatory and hospital standards, policies, and procedures. In addition, along with the care team, this position is responsible for ensuring a positive patient experience. This role performs in a high activity work environment with multiple priorities and necessitates flexibility in scheduling.Additional responsibilities and career advancement opportunities are available through a clinical ladder for Patient Care Techs based on experience, skillsets, and certifications held. Qualifications · No experience required, training provided on-site. · Successful completion of PCT specific HHC orientation. · Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Preferred · High school diploma or GED. · Some relevant experience in an acute care hospital environment. · Current certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) · Certification as a CNA, CPCT/A, EMT or CMA to be eligible for advancement in the PCT clinical ladder We take great care of careers. Job Summary Under the supervision and according to departmental policies and procedures, assists nurses in observing and monitoring behavior and physical condition of patients. Performs basic patient care tasks including assisting patients with personal hygiene and other daily living activities as delegated and in accordance with nursing care plans and policies and procedures. Establishes therapeutic relationships with patients and encourages their participation in recreational and other therapeutic activities. Assists in maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment. Reports to Nurse Manager. High School Graduate. Previous experience in psychiatric-mental health setting or previous experience in medical-surgical health care setting preferred. If working with a specialty population, e.g., geriatrics or children and adolescents, previous experience with that population also preferred. Strong communication skills required. Job Summary: Performs general preventive maintenance and repair of various areas around the facility. Job Responsibilities: Completes work orders, documents appropriate information on completed work and/or documents the status of equipment in order to maintain appropriate records for regulatory agencies Utilizes materials (wood, metal, concrete, plastics, composites) to fit and install glass windows, pictures, ceiling tiles, perimeter rail systems, wood trim and moldings, medical hardware stations, fire extinguishers, eye wash stations and other projects Performs general outside maintenance (mowing lawns, weeding, raking leaves, trimming bushes, snow removal and ice control tasks (shoveling & salting) Perform minor plumbing repairs and replacements of faucets, toilets and flush valves Performs the decorative application to walls, ceiling and other structures which include scraping, sanding, filling holes and cracks, removing /replacing outlet and switch covers, masking and applying paint or wall covering to surfaces based on manufacturing specifications Perform other related duties as required. 1 year’s general building maintenance Requires at least two years of horticulture experience in a retail, wholesale, or grounds keeping environment. Good interpersonal skills. Ct driver’s license required. Must be able to operate standard landscaping power equipment. Ability to operate Winter machinery such as Bobcat.
