Job Summary This therapist perform as a clinically competent practitioner of respiratory care. Provides respiratory care to patients with minimal guidance. They perform the therapy, management, rehabilitation, diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities which affect the cardiopulmonary system and associated aspects of other system functions. Also administers respiratory therapy to include administering oxygen and other medical gases, aerosolized medications, positive pressure breathing devices, ventilators, resuscitation devices, etc. Performs pulmonary diagnostic procedures and assessments. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s individual age specific needs and to provide individualized age specific treatments and care. Demonstrates efficiency across clinical/critical care settings to provide quality service to patient care units through communication, cooperation and collaboration with heath care team. Participates in additional training and/or certification courses to develop expertise and skills to become certified to work in specialized clinical areas. Associates Degree required, Bachelor\'s Degree preferred from an AMA approved Respiratory program. Ability to function as a self-directed team member. Valid State of Connecticut Respiratory Care Practitioner license Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) granted by The National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) prior to Orientation BLS /ACLS Certified We take great care of careers. The Occupational Therapist (OT) determines treatment strategies and delivers Occupational Therapy services that promote health and wellness, prevent injury or disability, improve and develop self-dependency and maintenance, productivity, leisure, perceptual motor function, rest, mental, cognitive physical, sensory-perceptual, psychosocial developmental, and emotional wellbeing in a variety of contexts and environments in order to maximize function in the areas of daily living, leisure/recreation, and productivity/work. The Occupational Therapist (OT) delegates patient care responsibilities to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. This role encompasses evaluation skills and techniques, analysis of patients, and application Occupational Therapy to maximize the patient\'s functional independence. · Acute care working experience or affiliation highly preferred. · Graduate of Occupational Therapy Program from an accredited American Occupational Therapy Association school, BS degree or entry level master\'s degree. · Current Occupational Therapist License required. Under the supervision of a Nurse Leader, the Patient Care Tech is responsible for performing specific duties that support patient care, which includes direct and indirect patient care activities that are essential to providing a safe and efficient care environment. This position performs selected interventions and activities that contribute to providing comprehensive care to patients in accordance with all existing regulatory and hospital standards, policies, and procedures. In addition, along with the care team, this position is responsible for ensuring a positive patient experience. This role performs in a high activity work environment with multiple priorities and necessitates flexibility in scheduling.Additional responsibilities and career advancement opportunities are available through a clinical ladder for Patient Care Techs based on experience, skillsets, and certifications held. · No experience required, training provided on-site. · Successful completion of PCT specific HHC orientation. · Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
