We want you to have a sense of belonging and feel valued for your contributions and the perspectives you bring.Summary:The Wind Turbine Technician – Traveler assists the Wind Technicians with all field duties and functions needed to run a successful utility scale Wind facility. The focus of this position will be vegetation management and module washing while assisting the Wind Technicians with DC and AC electrical system diagnosis and repair, including collection and delivery. Employee must be flexible to work in all other aspects required of plant maintenance, to ensure project success.Requirements:

Works collectively as part of small site team to ensure all tasks are correctly prioritized and delivered in a safe and timely manner at the highest quality.

Assists the Wind Technicians with on call 24/7 first responder to all alarms and system nonperformance as requested.

Writes JSA’s, work from procedures, and work instructions.

Takes direction, identifies problems, develops solutions, and conducts analysis independently and in collaboration with others.

Learns and understands electrical testing and diagnostic equipment for both AC and DC.

Works with site leadership/technicians to execute maintenance requirements, which may include any portion of the electrical and mechanical equipment used in the wind turbine.

Performs visual inspections; examines and identifies turbine per the maintenance manual.

Learns and uses a CMMS system as well as spreadsheets for maintenance tracking.

Keeps and tracks facility tool and parts inventory.

Keeps and maintains site equipment.

Uses material and equipment properly.

Orders replacement supplies as needed.

Learns and uses SCADA and other software control systems.

Ensures project work complies and meets contractual standard requirements.

Works in remote field conditions under all weather conditions with limited supervision.

Ability to multitask.

Available for 24-hour on-call duty to meet contractual requirements if required.

Assists and adheres to the overall site safety policy, ensuring RES’s safety program is correctly implemented and followed.

Assists with site safety meetings and site inductions.

Participates and assists with JSA, method statements.

Participates and assists with LOTO.

Interfaces with Subcontractors and Owners in a professional manner.

Follows company NERC compliance program as required.

Ensures building & ground maintenance as well as vegetation control policies are adhered to as required.

Assists tracking deliverables on site.

Completes and submits daily required paperwork accurately.

Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action when needed. Reports potentially unsafe conditions immediately.

Other duties as assigned by manager.

Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.

Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedure.

Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.

Qualifications:

High School/GED General Education, required.

Bachelor’s Degree related field preferred.

2+years related facility maintenance position required.

Domestic travel 5-15% required.

Valid Drivers License required.

Basic knowledge in:

Communication

Internal with Engineering, site teams, corporate office, supervisor externally with sub-contractors and vendors and listening skills

Relationship building

Safe working practices

Electrical schematics and prints

MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).

Time management to include:

Setting and achieving work goals, understanding and setting priorities, setting and adhering to required deadlines

Checking for Accuracy

Maintaining Accurate Records

Researching information

Being thorough in all tasks

Adhering to Rules and Regulations

Intermediate knowledge in:

Reading, Math, Use of Hand and Power Tools, Mowing Equipment Operation, Spraying Equipment Operation, Fork Lift Operation, Wind Concepts and Principles, Inspecting Physical Objects, Heavy Equipment, Cranes, Rigging and Lifting

Available to travel to other sites on short notice.

Anticipated base salary range: $21.00 - 25.00The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.RES offers benefits that are effective first day of the month following 30 days of full-time employment.
