Description Position: BookkeeperLocation: MiddletownSalary Range: $60,000-$70,000 plus 100% family medical coverageEmployment Type: Full-TimeRobert Half has partnered with a longstanding family owned construction company based in Middletown. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a Bookkeeper to join the accounting team and primarily handle the bookkeeping for one of their divisions.The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all accounts receivable functions, including, but not limited to, deposits, cash receptions, and billing. They will also be able to handle sales and use tax functions, maintain accurate journal entries, complete reconciliations, and handle reporting and audits.The bookkeeper will also handle CHRO functions, lien waivers, and work closely with subcontractors. Previous experience in a similar industry(construction, service) would be highly advantageous, as well sage experience.Key Responsibilities:

Handle all accounts receivable functions.

Prepare and record journal entries.

Research and resolve discrepancies.

Prepare sales and use tax reports.

Handle CHRO functions.

Monitor lien waivers and liaise with subcontractors.

Qualifications:

Proven bookkeeping experience in a similar industry.

Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and Sage software.
