The Black Rock Social House is a Comfort Food Gastropub and Social House that will provide diners in Bridgeport with an upscale casual meeting house experience and will feature a menu based on multi-cultural comfort food with an emphasis on gluten-free cuisine paired with Local Craft Beer and Hand-Crafted Cocktails.
We are looking for a creative Chef to launch this concept.
Candidate Skillset
Is comfortable with the administration side of the kitchen such as proper ordering, invoice coding, monthly inventories, updated prep lists and documented recipes for staff to follow.
Knows how to LEAD and motivate a kitchen team with clear set expectations and does so with treating your team with dignity and respect.
Can properly cost out menus and regularly audits purveyor pricing to maximize profitability and costs.
Has a creative streak to create delicious food that falls under the branding of the Black Rock Social House standards. How can you make your dish stand out and be gluten free?
Believes in proper, respectful and effective communication with the kitchen team, the FOH team and management team.
Has experience with private events and catering and can multi-task/balance multiple daily goals.
