Description Our highly reputable client in the Consumer Products industry is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Coordinator to join their growing team in Stamford, CT. The ideal candidate must be organized and self-driven with strong problem-solving skills, up-to-date knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, and hands-on experience with three-way matching, batching, and coding.Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the timely and accurate processing of all accounts payable transactions, including vendor invoicing, three-way matching, and payment processing.
Perform daily tasks such as maintaining files and reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to the general ledger.
Review purchase orders, invoices, and delivery slips for appropriate documentation and approval before payment.
Ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Implement effective processes and improvements that will increase efficiency in transaction processing.
Prepare weekly accounts payable reports.
Resolve any arising invoice discrepancies or issues.
Collaborate with different departments for ongoing process improvements.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
Proven 2-3 years’ experience as an Accounts Payable Coordinator or in a similar role.
Excellent understanding of general bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
Proficiency in three-way matching, batching, and coding vendor invoices.
Experience with accounting software, Advanced MS Excel skills including vlookups and pivot tables.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
