The company is a system security supplier and global leader in intelligent immigration and civil aviation security solutions and services, assisting governments with smarter solutions to uncover unlawful transnational activities at international border crossings

(e.g., human traffickers, drug traffickers, financial criminals)

They're looking for a ML/AI specialist who will partake in the creation of a new patentable technology with a focus on data using Python, SQL, Tensorflow, Spark/Hadoop, and OpenCV. Ideally someone who has worked in academia or has a research background and will be able to act as a lead.

Largely an independent role!

This is a hands-on position; you'll contribute directly to the solution code base. You will be allowed to create new intellectual property and patentable technology. You will be working in an Agile software development environment

Any or all of these skills are desired:

• Experience with commercial cloud architectures (Azure, Amazon AWS).
• Experience with working in a Kubernetes or Docker environment.
• Experience with distributed computing enablers such as Apache Kafka.
• Experience with big data analytics using Hadoop, Spark, or similar technologies.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as DGraph and MongoDB.
• Having experience working with multiple languages
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field from an accredited college.

• Do you think you could take a computer-vision centered university research project Python codebase and turn it into a minimally viable product, largely by yourself, in 6-12 months?
• Once the MVP is done, can you build and lead a team to deliver a commercial-grade product in the next 6-12 months?
