The below job descriptionprovides details on how this role will help to serve our clients.The Red Gate Group is looking for an experienced Acquisition Manager to join our team and support the Defense Intelligence Agency’s (DIA) Chief Information Officer (CIO-5) Business Operations and Governance Division. In this senior-level role, you will play a critical part in reengineering and implementing an effective, holistic acquisition process that aligns with the DIA's strategic objectives.As an Acquisition Manager, you will provide senior-level consulting and oversight for the full spectrum of acquisition activities, including developing acquisition strategies, preparing comprehensive purchase request packages, and supporting multiple award contracts and task orders. You will work closely with stakeholders, program managers, and technical experts to ensure project milestones are achieved, processes are streamlined, and governance is maintained. You will drive process improvements by implementing agile methodologies and developing innovative acquisition tools and processes, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.

Must have an active/current TS/SCI and be able to pass a CI Poly.

Must have at least twelve 15 years of experience as a DOD/IC Acquisition program manager providing management and direction to senior and mid-level personnel

A bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience and/or Master’s degree or advanced training in DoD/IC Acquisition program management.

Excellent oral and written communication skills with customer, team, and leadership.

Understanding of the IC, IC ITE, DoD, and DIA acquisition frameworks and architectures.

Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), DoD FAR Supplements (DFARs), and/or DoD Acquisition 5000 Series and ICD 801.

Qualifications Desired:

DAWIA Level I, II, and/or III certification

To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications and/or education for the grade at which you are requesting consideration. Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the private sector managing a team to achieve desired results; designing, developing, advising, implementing, evaluating process improvement activities using methodology and tools, and conducting internal management consulting engagements and projects. Examples include: facilitating workshops for business process design, using Lean Six Sigma (LSS), project management, and other process improvement strategies; leading process improvement projects; providing process improvement consulting services; recommending automation tools or methods for processes; developing business plans; developing organizational business models; developing business strategies; and developing actionable deliverables including standard operating procedures, automation tools, or project management frameworks. Certification by the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional is preferred, but not required. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification is preferred, but not required. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
