Assistant Housekeeping Manager

The Housekeeping Manager will assist in the successful leadership of the Housekeeping Department taking ownership of all cleanliness of the guest rooms, and the hotel. They will ensure that our guests are provided with clean, comfortable spaces, and be a part of creating a memorable experience.What you will be doing:Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:           Lead and supervise the day-to-day operation of the department to ensure service standards are followedHandle guests concerns and react quickly, logging and notifying the proper areasProvide leadership and guidance to a diverse group of colleagues with varying personalities while building engagement and a sense of value for the team membersActively participate in daily briefing, daily warm up and department meetingsComplete daily inspections, exercising good judgment and strong intuition to anticipate the needs of the guest, as well as the cleanliness of the hotel’s public and heart of house areasEnsure Room Attendants are informed daily about priorities in their sectionReport necessary maintenance itemsAssist with weekly scheduling and payrollComplete necessary inventory and weekly purchasing following budget guidelinesEnsure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health & safety initiativesAdhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiatives, follow all safety and sanitation policiesComplete paperwork and attend necessary meetings when neededOther duties as assigned
