Capital Markets Whole Loan Conduit Senior Associate (Hybrid)

Job Description As a valued colleague on our team, you will contribute to monitoring financial markets and initiating trades or transactions to capitalize on recognized patterns or according to a strategy. You will utilize existing strategies for analyzing financial market data, determine trends or patterns, make trades or transactions based on the analysis of financial market data, effectively transfer a portion of credit risk to private capital, and collaborate with your team and management to establish pricing according to the associated risk of the asset. The employee will be expected to develop into a subject matter expert on Capital and Return (Regulatory and Economic) in support of the Whole Loan Conduit and broader Capital Markets organization. Ongoing optimization of Capital and Return across all Capital Markets functional groups, a thorough understanding of competitive positioning and strategy with respect to constantly evolving market dynamics, and the ability to synthesize complex concepts to effectively advocate in support of these goals are all essential to success in this role. The employee will additionally be responsible for assessing, developing, and managing a suite of tools and reports that optimize market transactions across Capital Markets through the lenses of Capital and Return. Maintain and strengthen relationships with financial dealers or other market makers to provide pricing information on mortgage-backed securities (MBS) available for sale.

Develop and build strong relationships with internal and external customers through active engagement and inspiring work.

Monitor financial markets and initiate trades/transactions to capitalize on recognized patterns or according to a strategy.

Track financial market activities, understand and evaluate new developments in the market, and report on potential impact on business/position, as well as use internal valuation and risk models to assist with analysis and demonstrate proficiency with financial market data sources.

Skills

Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions

Experience in the process of analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data

Skilled in creating and managing databases with the use of relevant software such as MySQL, Hadoop, or MongoDB

Skilled in the graphical representation of information in the form of a charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards with programs and tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI

The group of skills related to Programming including coding, debugging, and using relevant programming languages

Tools

Skilled in SQL

Skilled in Tableau

Skilled in Excel

Desired Experiences

Bachelor degree or equivalent

Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn new tools and concepts

Programming experience including R Studio or Python
