Certified Industrial Hygienist

We are currently seeking a Certified Industrial Hygienist with a minimum of a Master’s Degree in environmental science or public health to be part of the Health Sciences Department. The position will provide the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects and expand horizons. Summary/ObjectiveThis CIH will join a collaborative team that supports our human health-based consulting services for a wide range of industrial,  commercial, and governmental clients. The work requires a professional knowledge of the principles, methods and techniques of risk assessment, exposure assessment, industrial hygiene/exposure science, occupational safety, and a desire to apply multi-disciplinary approaches (e.g., chemistry, biological sciences, epidemiology, biostatistics, and public health) to research projects involving potential effects from exposure to different materials, chemicals, or biological agents. Job Responsibilities Apply professional environmental science competence with specialized knowledge of chemistry, industrial hygiene and biological science. Perform as a team member to resolve client EH&S concerns as necessary and ensure regulatory compliance.Willing and able to travel by air, sea and land at short notice to reach project locations.Perform exposure and risk assessments for asbestos, benzene, silica, etc.Carry out relevant research, development, and planning to complete comprehensive reports for review by senior staff.Collaborating with team members.Maintain excellent client relationships. Core CompetenciesExcellent Written and Oral Communication SkillsExcellent Analytical, Problem-solving, Organizational, and Time Management SkillsExcellent Problem Solving/Critical Thinking SkillsCompetent in Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Teamwork Oriented
