Amentum, a large government contract company, is seeking a Contracts Manager to support a pending contract award in Haiti. This position will be based remote, but will travel to Haiti as needed to support this contract.POSITION SUMMARYThe Contracts Manager will support program leadership in accomplishing Amentum contractual requirements successfully for the LOGCAP contract. This includes, but is not limited to:
Ensure contract compliance and contract administration; develop initiatives to increase profitability and cash collection; establish and maintain excellent customer relations, both internally and externally; and develop business strategies for new business and/or on-contract growth opportunities
Advise management of contractual rights, obligations, and risks
Lead contract negotiation and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
Team with the Operations and Business Management teams to monitor, assess and accurately report, both internally and externally, on project cost, schedule, and risks and opportunities
Participate in proposal preparation as an integral member of the team with special emphasis on reviewing contract terms and risks as well as contributing to pricing strategy
Serve as primary point of contact for both internal and external customers on all contractual matters to include preparing and disseminating information throughout the company regarding contract status, compliance, modification, deviation, negotiation, and termination
Ensure communication is maintained for timely contract execution by the parties
Analyze and interpret federal government regulations including FAR, DFARS and other agency supplements and apply knowledge to perform sophisticated risk analysis for new and ongoing opportunities
Provide leadership, training, and development to instill a culture of continuous improvement and high performance in areas of responsibility.
Be simultaneously responsible for multiple task orders of varied contract types, including cost, T&M and fixed priced
Establish and maintain excellent customer relations, both internally and externally
Perform other duties and special projects as required
Other duties as assigned by leadership
When onsite, the Contracts Manager shall be available within 2 hours to meet on the installation with Government personnel to discuss problem areas.QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of five years of government contracts experience in a DoD OCONUS contracts environment with at least five (5) years in management with an emphasis in Base Operations Support Services with a working knowledge in contract administration, subcontracts, purchasing, document control, and/or pricing
Experience with varying contract types: fixed-price, cost-reimbursable, and time and material type
Strong writing and documentation skills
Highly organized, able to meet deadlines and manage shifting priorities
High degree of personal integrity; ability to maintain confidentiality
Must be able to function in an office setting, answer the phone, use office equipment, etc.
Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel
Previous work experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel
Valid US or local driver's license and US passport
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance
Country visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide)
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Experience providing excellent customer service in supporting contract responsibilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules and under pressure of deadlines while maintaining performance standards
EDUCATION
HS diploma or GED required
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Relations, Accounting, or a Contracts related discipline
