Counsel, Global Litigation & Competition

As Counsel, you will be responsible for managing and supporting a diverse range of litigation and pre-litigation matters, as well as providing day-to-day legal advice to a variety of business units within the company. Litigation matters are likely to include class action lawsuits, breach of contract and other business disputes, and responding to third-party subpoenas and government requests.  This role will report into Visa’s Global Litigation & Competition team.Primary responsibilities will includeDeveloping case strategy in partnership with business units and driving resolution of litigation disputesManaging outside counselReviewing and approving pleadings and motions, and attending court hearings and depositionsCoordinating discovery, including collection and production of documentsProviding legal advice to business functions on a wide variety of pre-litigation issues arising from business-as-usual activitiesKeeping Visa management and business units apprised of litigation developments and strategyThis is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
