Sanctions Compliance Program (UNSCP), which provides counterproliferation capacity-building to partner countries in order to counter the nuclear and missile threats posed by North Korea, Iran’s ballistic missile and unmanned aerial system (UAS) programs, and other WMD and delivery system proliferation threats.GDIT is seeking a Program Advisor who will serve as an on-site/hybrid contractor at the Department of State and assist CTR in developing, managing, and coordinating UNSCP capacity-building efforts. The Program Advisor will be responsible for programmatic and technical oversight of assigned activities in several countries and will work closely with other State Department offices, interagency colleagues, counterparts in foreign governments, technical experts, and others to plan and execute program activities. The Program Advisor will also be responsible for supporting relevant policy development and implementation within the Department and coordinating with other U.S. government departments and agencies as needed.Responsibilities:

Develop foreign assistance strategies, relationships, and programming to improve the capabilities of CTR partner countries and private sector stakeholders to identify, investigate, report, and disrupt DPRK revenue generation and sanctions evasion activities, Iranian ballistic missile and UAS-related procurements, and other proliferation activities of concern.

Brief high-level officials in the Department of State, interagency, foreign governments, and senior industry executives on CTR programmatic activities.

Cooperate with partners in the U.S. interagency to align CTR engagements with other U.S. government nonproliferation programs and ensure effective and efficient implementation.

Managing technical experts who conduct trainings and other activities, including setting engagement goals, monitoring award performance, reviewing training materials and curriculum, and interfacing with vendors.

Participate in the review of threat reduction project proposals and making recommendations concerning the approval and funding of proposals.

Represent CTR in domestic and foreign meetings as required, and additional tasks in support of CTR at home or abroad as assigned.

Other activities as assigned by the CTR Office Director and Deputy Director, Team Chief, and Deputy Team Chief.

Requirements:

Demonstrated prior experience working on U.S. government international nonproliferation, sanctions, or other WMD nonproliferation programs.

Familiarity with threat reduction programming, the risks of WMD, advanced conventional weapons, and missile proliferation, and UN and U.S. sanctions treating the proliferation of WMD.

Outstanding written and verbal communication, diplomacy, teamwork, and project management skills.

International travel will be required, and foreign language skills are a plus.

The candidate must be able to receive and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

A Bachelor's degree and five years relevant experience is required.

A Master’s degree or higher is preferred. An international affairs, policy, or technical background is preferred but not required.

Administrative Operations is responsible for administrative management support functions, in the areas of procurement, space management, property management, records management, mail management, emergency management, and Continuity of Operations (COOP). Responsibilities The Inspector General (IG) of the Department of Education (Department) heads an independent and objective organization responsible for audits, investigations, and other services related to programs and operations of the Department. The IG provides leadership and coordination and recommends policies for activities designated to promote economy, efficiency, and effectiveness in the administration of programs and operations, as well as to prevent and detect fraud and abuse in such programs and operations. The IG is the principal advisor to the Secretary of the Department on the above matters and is responsible for keeping the Secretary and Congress fully and currently informed about problems and deficiencies relating to the administration of the Department’s programs and operations and the necessity for and progress of corrective action.
