job detailsjob summary:Our client, a leading organization in Washington, DC, in partnership with Randstad, is seeking experienced ESS Design Specialists / Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for a 12+ month contract role. The position is hybrid onsite in Washington, DC, with flexibility for remote work.Job Overview: As an ESS Design Specialist / SME, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Physical and Electronic Security System (ESS) Capital Projects. This involves conducting security design reviews and audits to ensure compliance with technical requirements and design standards. The focus will be on Video Surveillance Systems (VSS) and Access Control Systems (ACS). This is a critical position with direct impact on the security of Amtrak facilities.location: WASHINGTON, District of Columbiajob type: Contractsalary: $75 - 85 per hourwork hours: 9am to 5pmeducation: Bachelorsresponsibilities:Key Responsibilities:
Review and audit security designs from project partners for compliance with design requirements and standards.
Develop initial design guidance and requirements, identifying areas of concern and recommending appropriate mitigations.
Communicate operational security requirements to internal and external project partners.
Recommend changes, modifications, or upgrades to security designs to ensure appropriate security levels based on identified risks.
Essential Functions:
Review security designs for compliance with Amtrak physical security requirements.
Provide team support for security systems in construction projects.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Ensure adherence to CS Policies and Standards.
Complete project assignments with minimal supervision.
