Financial Analyst

Position Description: The Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for analytical support and financial accounting at Washington Operations, with a view to standardization across the BU, automation and streamlining of reports, with regular involvement in forecasting, and ASAT compliance activities. Position Duties:

Creates control/exception reports for the sites, automate, and provide the business the required reports to manage the organization.

Works closely with all departments to identify opportunities to improve controls, reporting, visibility of data, and drive ownership and resolution of issues identified.

Serves as a FPA / Finance partner providing solutions, driving change within the business, and not simply an analyst reporting data.

Assists Controller in the development, review and entry of monthly forecasts and plans.

Provides cost breakdowns (i.e., spend per grinder belt vs PO vs expectation; QTY & price vs price list), identify opportunities, and drive resolution of issues

Supports revenue forecasting and trend analysis by part, customer, market, and ‘own’ relevant load data in HFM

Supports ongoing continuous improvement initiatives

Inventory reporting, analysis, identifying and driving opportunities

Participates in month end close activities to include post journals and accounting entries and support.

Maintains standard cost rates model, reviewing trends, and identify opportunities.

ESH reporting

Reconciles SAP COPA revenue & cost data to FI adjustments, revenue & direct cost lines.

Creates PO requisitions

Reviews SAP cost, revenue and margin data to ensure proper matching of cost against related revenue in proper accounting period.

Reviews KE30/KE24 cost reports and makes appropriate standard cost changes or journal entries to ensure proper matching.

Provides support on an as needed basis for financial and control audits for both internal and external auditors.

Serves as temporary back up to the Controller as needed.

Manages fixed asset and capex process in accordance with Howmet policy.

Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

5 years of experience

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in financial manufacturing environment

Superuser of Excel

Working knowledge of SAP, Hyperion, ASP, and AFRM

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

The incumbent has primary responsibility for the analysis, compilation, and interpretation of program data related to audits, inspections, and investigations.
