Financial Reporting Manager - Asset Management

Description Our client in the sustainable energy sector is looking for a Financial Reporting Manager - Asset Management. Dual reporting to the COO and the Chief Underwriter the Financial Reporting Manager will analyze financial statements from their investment entities and support analysis and reporting of portfolio performance both internally and externally and may interact directly with portfolio company leaders as they develop their own operational and financial reporting capabilities. Day to day duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Collaborates with Deal and Asset Management teams to receive and analyze timely financial reporting from all of the company's investment entities.

Clarifies and analyzes financials to surface questions and anomalies.

Keeps a record of timeliness and quality of information reported.

Surfaces material issues (whether accounting, operating performance, or compliance related) with Asset Management Committe and works collaboratively on any improvements or changes to be made.

Prepares bridge and other analyses for each investment as needed.

Designs templates and operating reports to communicate performance of the company's portfolio.

May interact directly with portfolio company leaders as they develop their own operational and financial reporting capabilities.

The ideal candidate for this Financial Reporting Manager - Asset Management will have:

7+ years of work experience

Financial analysis and accounting background – either in an investment firm, consulting or auditing capacity.

Prior exposure to accounting for various types of companies, including projects and operating companies.

Preferably someone who has worked at or with sustainable/alternative energy companies.

Experience with company valuations also a plus.

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Superior organization skills and attention to detail.

Superior communication and influencing skills.

Bachelor’s Degree and CPA (preferred).

Your duties and responsibilities may include, but not limited to the following: Provides advice and recommendations on all aspects of the OIG budget to bureau program officials. Plays a key role in coordinating the preparation of annual OIG budget and Congressional budget. You will have a primary responsibility of gathering and completion of data, identification and analysis of issues and development of recommendations to resolve substantive problems of efficiency and or effectiveness regarding mission operations. The incumbent has primary responsibility for the analysis, compilation, and interpretation of program data related to audits, inspections, and investigations. The incumbent will assist in the formulation, presentation and execution of the budget. Reviews and analyzes budget estimates and requests for allocations and re-allocation of funds within OIG.
