The role of the floor technician requires extreme flexibility in hours of availability.

Ability to fulfill traveling requirements is crucial, and the associate will need to be willing to work odd hours during project.

1-2 Years of Experience Required

Prepping and cleaning floors with specialized equipment and chemicals.

Finishing/refinishing concrete and epoxy floors with HEAVY equipment for long hours.

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at Jefferson Marketplace, a mixed-use community located at the corner of 7th and P Streets in Northwest Washington, DC. The project includes 281 luxury apartments, 230 below-grade parking spaces and 13,400 square feet of retail space. JeffersonMarketPlace.com ​​In the Maintenance Technician role, the primary objective is to provide superior care and customer service to our most valued residents by providing quality, timely and right the first-time responses to residents’ service needs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Replaces filters and cleans air conditioning vents in vacant apartments and occupied units, in addition to other preventative maintenance tasks. Assists maintenance staff with service requests. Handles “on call” duties whenever needed. Replaces breezeway/hallway light bulbs as needed. Assists with apartment make-readies. Assists in the distribution of flyers and other material. Assists with janitorial responsibilities and maintaining overall cleanliness of the community. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Availability to be on call for emergencies on evenings, weekends, and holidays. Meet the physical demands to perform the duties of the position to include mobility required to move about the property, climb stairs, lift appliances and tools, stretch, bend, kneel, ability to hear occasional loud noises, among others. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. General knowledge of maintenance tools and job tasks.
